"Life's Interruptions: Navigating Challenges Beyond the Writer's Desk"

Updated: May 1

What's been happening? You've been waiting to hear from me lately. As much as I love writing, sometimes life throws unexpected events that require our full attention.

Over the past few months, I've had to put a pause on my writing journey to focus on something far more important: the care of my mom, who has fallen significantly ill. It's been a rollercoaster of hospital visits, doctor's appointments, and therapy sessions as we navigate through this challenging time together. Her health, particularly her blood sugar levels, has been fluctuating, and ensuring she gets the care she needs has been my top priority.

In addition to caring for my mom, I've also had to juggle the responsibilities of being a parent. From attending to my children's needs to managing their activities like baseball, swimming, play dates, and gymnastics, each day has been filled with tasks and to-dos.

Unfortunately, amidst these challenges, I canceled my 50th birthday trip to South Africa, Italy, Spain, and France. While it was disappointing to let go of this dream adventure, family always comes first, and right now, my focus is on being there for my loved ones in their time of need.

As I navigate this chapter of life, I'm reminded of the importance of resilience and adaptability. Though my writing may have taken a backseat for now, these experiences will only enrich my storytelling in the future. Life is unpredictable, but how we respond to twists and turns defines us.

Thank you all for your understanding and support during this challenging time. I look forward to reconnecting with you all soon and sharing more of life's journey, both highs and lows.
